Earlier today I was watching the Sports Center highlights of an early afternoon game between the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, when I was treated to this lovely highlight. In the video below you can see Angels left fielder Garrett Anderson chasing a fly ball into foul territory. Nothing strange about that in Major League Baseball, guys tend to play hard when they are making millions of dollars a year, but the insanity that ensues after the play is what makes watching this video worth it. After Anderson collides with a fan attempting to catch the foul ball, dousing the fan with beer, a large slice of pizza comes flying from offscreen into the fans face!
I have no idea what could have compelled this gentleman to throw his (probably) $8.00 slice of ballpark pizza at his fellow fan, but I have to believe that the potential 15 minutes of fame he might receive from his quick thinking might have something to do with it.
Either way, this made me laugh, and I decided I had to share it with others.
